Our global HR team consists of an HR Manager, HR Business Partner and Recruitment & HR Specialist, situated in the Netherlands and Bulgaria. For the time of the maternity leave of our HRBP, we are looking for a talented HR Specialist to join us for a duration of a minimum of 1 year.

Who we are looking for

As an HR Specialist, you will play a crucial role in being the go-to person for everyone from our Bulgarian office (approximately 60 people) and will aim to provide an excellent employee experience for the team. In collaboration with the headquarters in The Hague, you will coordinate and implement HR projects related to topics such as employer branding, hiring, culture, leadership, and personal development.

What you’ll do (main responsibilities)

Your role will be diverse, with some of the activities being related to:

• Being the first point of contact to employees and managers from the Bulgarian office for any HR-related topic;

• Support and guide employees and managers in adopting HR processes and best practices;
• Being the trust person for our team, guiding them through personal issues or conflicts;
• Keeping the employee handbook up-to-date;

• Being responsible for finding the best people for the team;

• Manage and deliver the employee lifecycle so that the employee experience is positive and efficient;

• Ensure compliance of HR processes with the local employment regulations and recommend HR best practices;

• Assist in hosting company events;

• Partner with the global HR team to deliver effective HR services to the business.

What you’ll bring to the team (experience/skills/knowledge/mindset)

• 3+ years of work experience in HR in a Generalist or a similar role;

• Strong understanding and proven experience working with HR processes and practices, including talent acquisition, performance management, employee engagement and personnel administration;

• Solution-driven and pro-active mindset;
• Open and empathic attitude;
• Good communication skills in both Bulgarian and English;
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
